The business was founded in 1983 as K.Agency International Limited, dealing in importation and distribution of several household items. In 2000 the business name was changed to KAI Limited, and during the time it was one the leading companies in importation and wholeselling of seweing machines. In 2006 KAI Limited decided to devote itself to the importation and distribution(Wholesale/Retail) of sewing machines, and all other Tailoring Equipment and Tools regional wide (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Congo, Zambia, Malawi, Comoros, etc.)
